2-Year-Old Drowns in Florence County Pond

A 2-year-old has died after drowning in a Florence County pond. The toddler was recently identified as Easton Rhett Strickland. He was found in a Lake City pond off of W. Hwy 78 Bypass. Strickland was hospitalized before later passing away. His official autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. The Florence County Sheriff’s Office and the coroner’s office are investigating.
