Inmate Found Deceased In Darlington County

EMS personnel and the coroner's office responded to the facility.

An investigation is now underway after an inmate in Darlington County died. Around 5am Thursday, an inmate was found unresponsive at the W. Glen Campbell Detention Center. EMS personnel and the coroner’s office responded to the facility. The person’s name has not been publicly revealed at this time. The SLED and the coroner’s officer are “actively investigating the incident.”
