First Locally Spread Malaria Cases In The U.S. In 20 Years
The last time Malaria cases were detected in the U.S. was in 2003 when eight cases were identified in Palm Beach County, Florida.
For the first time in 20 years, several Malaria cases have been reported in the U.S.. In the last two months, the U.S. has seen five cases of Malaria spread by mosquitos which prompted officials to issue a public health alert warning doctors, public health authorities, and the police about the risk.
