28-year-old Nicholas Hold went missing while swimming near Sandy Island.

The body of a missing swimmer has been recovered from the water. 28-year-old Nicholas Hold of Murrells Inlet was last seen while swimming in a lagoon near Sandy Island on Sunday. Around noon on Monday, his body was located by divers from SCDNR. Further details are limited and his cause of death has not yet been announced.

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing man. 28-year-old Nicholas Hold was last seen swimming in a lagoon near Sandy Island on Sunday. Marine units are now searching for him with help from SCDNR and Midway Fire Rescue crews. Anyone who has any information on Hold’s whereabouts is urged to contact Georgetown County authorities.
