28-year-old Zachary Gause disappeared while swimming in a pond off of Little Fishery Road near Highway 378.

One man died in an apparent accidental drowning early Wednesday morning. 28-year-old Zachary Gause disappeared while swimming in a pond off of Little Fishery Road near Highway 378 in Florence County. Gause’s body was recovered around 2:30am. An autopsy is set to be conducted Friday at MUSC. The incident is under investigation.
