An officer at the federal correctional institute in Bennettsville has been arrested. Investigators with the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the arrest of Joseph Templeton after the seizure of more than $100,000 worth of contraband and narcotics. A two-vehicle crash in Horry County left three people hurt. The accident happened around 1am Thursday in the area of Highway 544 and Cox Ferry Road. Lanes of traffic were blocked off as crews worked the scene where extrication operations were used to remove those who were entrapped after the crash. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is now investigating.
