Trump Family Reaches Deal in NY Attorney General Investigation

In other Trump news, Lawyers for the former President and the New York Attorney General have reached an agreement to postpone depositions in the investigation into the Trump Organization until after an appeal is decided. The deal was signed off on by a New York State Judge and both sides agreed to an expedited briefing schedule that would conclude by the end of March. The Trumps would be required to sit for depositions if they lost the appeal 14 days after a decision is rendered. It is not known how quickly the appeals court will make their ruling. Under the lower court ruling, former President Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka were ordered to sit for depositions by March 10th. The Trumps also argued that if NY Attorney General Letitia James wants their testimony she should bring them before a state grand jury investigating the organization. Lawyers also claim James is trying to end-run the jury process.
