U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken Expected to Address Ukrainian and Russian Tensions

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to address the tension at the Ukrainian and Russian border during a call with Russia’s minister of foreign affairs Sergei Lavrov. This comes after the U.S. received a written response from Moscow after it sent it’s own written answers following face-to-face meetings on the ongoing Ukraine crisis. The Kremlin said that Russia had not sent it’s ‘main reply’ to the u-s over Russia’s security concerns and said there was a ‘mixup’ over the issue. State department officials confirmed yesterday that they had ‘received a written follow-up from Russia’ to a document sent in response to Russian security demands over NATO’s presence on eastern Europe.
