Suspects Parents in Michigan High School Shooting Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter
Breaking news on the Michigan High School Shooting. A prosecutor filed involuntary manslaughter charges this morning against the parents of 15 Ethan Crumbley. James and Jennifer Crumbley were charged with four counts each of involuntary manslaughter. The semi automatic hand gun used in the shooting was legally purchased by James last week. Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald said, “the parents were the only individuals in the position to know the access to weapons” and that the gun seems to have been just freely available to that individual, referring to Ethan Crumbley. It has also come to light that hours before Tuesday’s shooting a teacher saw the shooter Ethan Crumbley engage in ‘concerning’ behavior which prompted school officials to put him in an office and call his parents in for a meeting. After that discussion he was allowed back into class. There is a ‘strong possibility’, 15 year old Crumbley had the gun in his backpack during the meeting. Crumbley was charged as an adult with terrorism, murder and other counts in connection to the shooting on Tuesday that killed four and injured 7 including one teacher.
