Michigan School Shooting Suspect Charged With Terrorism, Fourth Student Dies
More details surrounding the Michigan high school shooting have surfaced. The suspect, Ethan Crumbley, who is accused of killing four fellow students and injuring seven others including one teacher will be tried as an adult and faces murder, assault and weapons charges as well as one count of terrorism causing death. This is a rare charge for a school shooting. The incident happened on Tuesday when law enforcement officials say 15 year old Crumbley shot at people in a school hallway, firing more than 30 shots at people through classroom doors. Three people died at the scene and a fourth died yesterday at a nearby hospital. At Crumbley’s arraignment hearing yesterday, prosecutor Marc Keast said he came out of a school bathroom and started firing, walked down the hall at a ‘methodical pace’ and fired more shots, then went into another bathroom. When deputies arrived Crumbley put the gun down and surrendered.
