Former NY Governor Andrew Cuomo Charged With Misdemeanor Sex Crime
A criminal complaint alleging forcible touching, a sex crime, has been filed against former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo resigned from his position as Governor in August after multiple women accused him of sexual harassment and is now facing a misdemeanor charge in connection with an alleged incident at his mansion on December 7th 2020. The complaint alleges Cuomo “did intentionally, and for no legitimate purpose, forcibly placed his hand under the blouse shirt of the victim and onto her intimate body part for the purposes of degrading and gratifying his sexual desires.’ On Monday, the complaint was signed by Amy Kowalski, an investigator with the Albany Sheriff’s Office and it was filed yesterday. Albany County District Attorney David Soares said the complaint caught him off guard. He also added that the office will not be commenting on the case. Cuomo has repeatedly denied the allegations of sexual misconduct.
