Thanksgiving Dinner to Cost More This Year

Your Thanksgiving dinner could cost more this year according to economists, farmers and grocery store executives. The United States Bureau of Labor statistics reported a 4.6% increase in the food consumer price index from a year ago. Prices for poultry, meat, fish and eggs are up 10% which has been impacted by the supply chain crisis, extreme weather, labor shortages and transportation expenses. Companies like Nestle and Proctor and Gamble have already warned consumers to brace themselves for higher prices this year and turkey prices are also expected to reach record highs.
