One in Custody After ‘Domestic Situation’ Prompts Shooting At Ocean Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach
One person is in custody after a shooting at the Ocean Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach on Saturday night. The Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to the hotel on reports of gunshots around 11:30 pm and located one person with injuries who was taken to the hospital for treatment. The suspect, 39 year old Jamie Pickett of Wadesboro North Carolina fled the scene but was later taken into custody. Police say the shooting was a result of a domestic situation between Pickett and another person and the victim tried to intervene. Pickett is being held at the J.
