There may be a solution to unlocking your phone with a mask on.  If you’re someone who likes to use Face ID but are having to type in your password every time you want to see the grocery list on your phone, this hack may help.   Grab your mask, go to your settings, select Face ID and Passcode, click “Set up alternate ID.”  When prompted to rotate your face, pull your mask down so it can recognize you, then quickly slide it back up to complete the rotations.   Reviews are mixed.  Many say the key is pulling the mask up quick enough during the rotation capture in the last step.
