Why You Should Ditch Your “To Do” List (It’s Causing You to Binge-Watch)

If you find yourself staying up late, binging tv, and aimlessly scrolling media, you may be suffering from a condition of indifference.  The cure could start with a "don't list."

We all like to get things done. If you’re like most you have those endless to do lists. One researcher says the way to really thrive is to make a “don’t do list.” Psychologist Adam Grant spoke about this in a TED Talks Daily.  Grant says if you find yourself staying up late, binging tv and “doom-scrolling” you may be suffering from languishing which is basically is a condition of indifference.  The cure is to find your flow again. To do that, eliminate all the things like the mindless scrolling. make a “don’t” list and perhaps include 1. Don’t take your phone to bed.  and 2. Don’t turn on the tv unless you know what you’re looking for.  Then you will cut out things that are distracting you from finding what matters.   To learn more click here for the podcast.
