One Killed in Darlington County Crash on I-20
One person was killed and others were injured during a crash on I-20 in Darlington County on Saturday. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, three cars were traveling east near mile marker 131 around 6:20 a.m. when two of the cars slowed down for traffic. A 2021 Hyundai four-door side swiped a 2007 Toyota pickup causing it to go off the side of the road, overturn and hit a tree. The Hyundai also overturned ejecting it’s driver who was not wearing a seatbelt and died after being taken to McLeod Hospital. A passenger in the car was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to the hospital for injuries, the driver of the Toyota was also injured. The identity of the driver who died has not yet been released.
