Governor Roy Cooper Has Declared A State Of Emergency In North Carolina

Governor Roy Cooper has declared a State of Emergency in North Carolina in the midst of the gas supply shortage. The order temporarily suspends motor vehicle fuel regulations to ensure adequate fuel supplies throughout the state. As we mentioned earlier, last Friday, the Colonial Pipeline System experienced a Cyberattack. The pipeline is one of the primary fuel lines for North Carolina. Cooper said “Today’s emergency declaration will help North Carolina prepare for any potential motor vehicle fuel supply interruptions across the state and ensure motorists are able to have access to fuel.”
