One Dead, Suspect Arrested In California Stabbing After A 5 Hour Standoff

A five hour standoff in California ended with the arrest of a slain woman’s estranged husband. 41 year old James Dorsey from Washington is suspected of fatally stabbing his estranged wife Michelle in her Santa Clara home in California yesterday morning. Her children were inside at the time and she was able to identify Dorsey as her killer before dying at a local hospital. After the incident, Dorsey fled the scene in a white Chevy Malibu and led deputies on a chase before crashing in the Antelope Valley. He refused to get out of the vehicle which led to a five hour standoff. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department he was taken into custody near Los Angeles around 11 p.m.
