Illegal Burning Incident in Darlington Co. Leads to Destruction of 5 Acres, 3 Cars

Illegal burning in Darlington County has caused a ton of destruction over a period of 24 hours. Nearly five acres were burned across several residential communities, with the most recent fire occurring yesterday morning on Dudley Drive near Lamar. Three cars were also destroyed. It’s believed a man was burning trash when it got away from him, sparking the event. It’s unclear if he will face any legal action. This all comes the same week that controlled burns are being conducted in Horry County.
