Sixth Woman Makes Damaging Accusations Against Gov. Cuomo
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is facing his most damaging workplace sexual harassment accusation yet as a sixth woman has now come out against him. Over the last few weeks, five women have accused the governor of inappropriate behavior and/or touching. Their encounters with the governor all seemed to be more minor events, but ones that left traumatic and long lasting impressions on them. Then on Tuesday, a sixth female staffer, who remains anonymous at this time, claimed the governor sexually harassed her on numerous occasions. She specifically mentioned one incident in which he groped her. Cuomo called the latest report “gut-wrenching” and has once again denied these allegations, doubling down on his statement that he has “never done anything like this.” The governor said he remains confident in the state’s attorney general’s ability to thoroughly investigate the situation. It does not appear at this time that the anonymous staffer filed a formal complaint with the governor’s office over the groping matter.
