Gov. McMaster Visits Mass Vaccination Clinic in Myrtle Beach
On the heels of yesterday’s announcement that South Carolina will move into Phase 1B of the state’s vaccination plan, Governor McMaster paid a visit to a local mass vaccination clinic. The governor toured the Myrtle Beach Convention Center with Myrtle Beach Mayor Brenda Bethune. The city and McLeod Health teamed up to host a two-day event. Around 2,500 people eligible for Phase 1A received their first vaccine doses yesterday with the hope that an additional 2,500 to be inoculated today. McMaster was happy to see the work being done to help the community. Conway Medical Center and Horry County Schools are also working together to vaccinate teachers and staff members within the district after we move into Phase 1B. They hope to hold a similar event sometime later next week.
