Rep. Rice Gives First Class Plane Seat to Georgetown Soldier on Leave

Representative Tom Rice continues to pay it forward to our nation’s soldiers. Since he flies so frequently, Rice often gets bumped to first class. This has led to a sort of tradition where Rice will give his seat away, usually to a soldier. Last night, Rice swapped seats with recent Georgetown High School graduate Brandon Gary, who was on leave after starting boot camp in August. Rice shared the moment online, thanking Gary for his service. He has previously given his seat away to a soldier heading home for Christmas, a Grand Strand member of the Armed Forces, and a mother with a baby.
