Latta Police Chief Heading to Dillon County

Latta Police Chief, Derrick Cartwright, announced he will be leaving the department. That’s after working there for the past 16 years and serving as chief since November of 2016. In a statement Chief Cartwright thanked officers, citizens and others he worked with over the years. Cartwright’s last day will be tomorrow and Lieutenant Josh Holt will serve as interim Chief of Police in Latta after his departure. Cartwright will be taking a position with the Dillion County Sheriff’s Office.
