Why You Should Drink More Wine and Eat More Cheese

If you want to keep your brain sharp as you get older, the secret may be adding more wine and cheese to your diet.
At least that’s the theory from an Iowa State University’s Food Science and Human Nutrition Department. The team analyzed data from nearly 1,800 adults. Between 2006 and 2016, participants completed a test and follow ups, that give a snapshot of their ability to think on the fly. The Iowa team found cheese protected the most against age-related cognitive issues, like alzheimer’s disease. Drinking alcohol each day, red wine in particular, was also related to cognitive improvements.
