We’re Having the Pee-can vs. Puh-con Debate

Folks have been questioning how to say the word “pecan” for years and it’s time to end this debate once and for all.
AmericanPecan.com posted a survey asking people to officially choose how they say the word. The two options are “pea-can” or “puh-con.” According to the survey, “puh-con” is currently in the lead with well over 100,000 votes. Their poll didn’t take into account two of the other possible pronunciations: pick-ahn and pee-kahn.
