President-Elect Biden Names Transition Team Despite Trump Administration Pushback

President-elect Biden has gone ahead and named a transition team despite ongoing push back from President Trump and his team. On his website, Biden has now named 500 people who will serve alongside different government agencies to help prepare the incoming administration to takeover. This is despite attempts by the Trump Administration to impede the process, which includes denying them access to federal funds and top intelligence reports, as they continue pursuing legal challenges in several states. This puts a major wrench in the Biden team’s efforts, but they believe even without the president’s help they can still move forward successfully. Biden continues to project confidence about his win and even referred to the president’s actions as an “embarrassment” while speaking with reporters yesterday. It’s been reported that President Trump will never officially concede, but he will stop his legal efforts once the results have been officially certified. If that’s the case, he says he will leave the White House willingly on January 20th. However, in that time he will continue to contest the results to the fullest extent of the law.
