Two Injured During Afternoon Drive-By Shooting in Lumberton

Another shooting in Lumberton has left two people injured. Yesterday’s incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Freedom Drive and Prevatte Street. Responding officers discovered four or five people had been standing in a group when a vehicle drove by and an occupant opened fire on them. The victim’s have not been identified but it’s believed they sustained non life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call the Lumberton Police Department at (910) 671-3845.
