President Trump Promises to get Emergency Use Authorization Approved for Covid-19 Treatment
In a short Twitter video yesterday, President Trump revealed his plans to get FDA Emergency Use Authorization for a new possible Covid-19 treatment. The monoclonal antibody therapy includes a combination of drugs being administered together and at the same time. It’s an experimental treatment still under going preliminary clinical trials, with only around 300 people having received the treatment, including the president as he battles Covid right now. But it has shown some promise at combating the virus with few serious side effects. According to President Trump and his doctors, this drug has been largely responsible for keeping him fever-free for over four days and symptom-free for over 24 hours now. Regeneron Pharmaceuticals officially applied for the Emergency Use Authorization yesterday evening with hopes to have it approved in a matter of weeks. The president has also promised the treatment would be free to the public.
