President Trump Criticized for Performing Drive By Event While at Hospital
Despite all the chaos and concern for his questionable health, President Trump is trying to remain positive. He posts daily video and photo updates that show him working hard while still receiving treatment at Walter Reed. Then yesterday, he announced he would “pay a little surprise” to supporters who’ve been waiting outside on the streets near the hospital, some since Friday evening. Moments later, the president performed a drive by so he could wave to supporters from the window of an SUV. For many it was a positive sign of the president’s improving health, but others have come out criticizing the event. Some health experts considered it extremely reckless since at least two Secret Service members were confined to the car with him. They will now have to undergo at least two weeks of quarantine. It’s reported not even Melania Trump will visit her husband in the hospital for fear of spreading the virus to her employees. Meanwhile, the president is accused of putting his agents at unnecessary risk.
