Carolina AM Cooking: Apple Cider!

Today is National Mulled Cider Day! In honor of that we’re making a healthy version of an apple cider recipe that I love!

Here’s what you need…
– 1 gallon of apple cider
– 1 orange cut in slices
– 1 lemon cut in slices
– add your desired taste of cloves and cinnamon sticks
– 2 drops of cinnamon bark
– 2 drops citrus blend
(Not all essential oils are to be ingested, look for FDA approved.)

All you have to do is combine these items in a crock-pot or a large pot on your stove and simmer over low heat for at least ten minutes. Before serving, discard the orange and lemon slices and then add some cinnamon sticks to cups when you serve! When the kids go to bed add the rum!
