First 2020 Presidential Debate Scheduled for Tomorrow Night

The first presidential debate is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Cleveland, Ohio and here’s what you need to know. President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden will face off at Case Western Reserve University starting at 9 p.m. The debate will be split into six fifteen-minute segments. The discussion topics were chosen by moderator and Fox News Anchor Chris Wallace. They include Trump and Biden’s records, the Supreme Court nomination, the coronavirus pandemic, the economy, the issue of racial injustice in the U.S., and election integrity. In a surprise tweet over the weekend, President Trump demanded Biden be drug tested prior to the debate. He suggested his opponent was under the influence during previous matches which affected his performance. This claim is entirely unproven. With the election just 36 days away, a new poll conducted in Minnesota shows President Trump trailing behind Biden at 42% to Biden’s 48%.
