Two Injured During Shooting Near Lumberton Convenience Store

Another shooting also took place last night outside a convenience store in Lumberton. Two people were injured near Rob’s Quick Stop in the 2500 block of Caton Road around 11 p.m. The suspect and one of the victims were believed to be riding in a car together when an altercation broke out which ended with the passenger shooting the driver in the leg. The suspect then fled into the parking lot of the store. The injured driver then struck the shooter with his vehicle and then drove himself to the hospital. He is expected to survive. The passenger, however, is in critical condition.
