SC Senate Unanimously Approves Bill to Expand Absentee Voting in November

The South Carolina Senate unanimously approved for expanded absentee voting this November. Lawmakers met yesterday to discuss the issue of voting in the presidential election during the pandemic. Along with 18 other reasons why a person may vote absentee in this state, a resident may now also request a ballot due to Covid-19. However, those who choose to vote this way must return it by mail or go into an election office. Drop boxes may not be utilized. The witness signature requirement must also be adhered to.
