Senator Kamala Harris Formally Accepts Democratic VP Nomination

Senator Kamala Harris made history last night after she became the first black and south Asian American woman to accept the vice presidential nominee for a major party. During her acceptance speech she promised to strive for inclusivity, “to be conscious and compassionate”, and to fight for justice and equality, especially in wake of recent events. In another stunning moment, former President Barack Obama offered another scathing attack on President Trump, the most critical any former president has made against a current one. He accused President Trump of not taking the job “seriously”, adding he “hasn’t grown into the job because he can’t, and the consequences of that failure are severe.” While the event was taking place, the president was live tweeting his reactions in all caps. Despite a lack of evidence, he claimed Obama got caught spying on his campaign and asked why he waited so long to endorse his former vice president. The president was also quick to point out that Harris once called Biden a racist and incompetent. Tonight is the final night of the DNC and Biden is expected to officially accept his nomination.
