Man Arrested For Death of Children After Leaving Them in Hot Car for Hours
An Oklahoma man has been arrested for the deaths of his two young children. 31-year-old Dustin Dennis of Tulsa stands accused of leaving his 4-year-old daughter Teagan and 3-year-old son Ryan locked inside a hot truck for five hours. Dennis told officers he ran an errand with his children around noon. When he returned home, he fell asleep for around four to five hours and when he woke up, he couldn’t find his children. He later discovered the unresponsive kids in his truck. Dennis said he then moved the children to his living room. They were pronounced dead by paramedics at the home. Surveillance footage captured on a neighbor’s property shows Dennis getting out of the truck without his children and locking it before going inside for his nap. The weather in Tulsa that day peaked in the low 90’s. Dennis was arrested on two counts of second-degree murder. He currently remains in custody on a $750,000 bond and is set to appear in court Friday.
