Protests Continue in South Carolina as State Primary Approaches

Hundreds continued to attend peaceful protests throughout South Carolina this weekend. The Market Common in Myrtle Beach saw a large gathering yesterday afternoon. They were joined by Mayor Brenda Bethune and Myrtle Beach Police Chief Amy Prock. There were prayers, marching, and kneeling for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Similar scenes were also seen in Darlington yesterday evening where at least two protests took place. Voter registration forms were also handed out at at least one of the events in anticipation for tomorrow’s state primary.
