Family of Three, Including Infant, Shot While at Stoplight in Red Springs

A family of three was shot in Red Springs, North Carolina late last night. A couple and their infant child were at a stoplight at the intersection of 6th Avenue and Main Street when a “dark-colored vehicle drove up on the driver’s side and began firing a high powered weapon” into their car. The 27-year-old male driver and infant were both airlifted to a hospital after being shot. The mother sustained injuries to her face as a result of broken glass. The woman reported her husband and child were both in critical condition. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Red Springs Police Department.
