Pawleys Island Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of $50,000 Worth of Drugs

Over $50,000 dollars in drugs were seized during a traffic stop in Pawleys Island. 29-year-old Delano McDowell Jr. was pulled over Monday night by agents with the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit. Upon smelling marijuana, they searched his car then discovered 659 grams of meth pressed into 2,100 pills as well as 50 grams of marijuana, both packaged for sale. McDowell was arrested and faces charges for trafficking meth in excess of 400 grams and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
