Beware of Hazardous Sea Life Washing Up on Grand Strand Shores
Purple flags have been hoisted along Grand Strand beaches to remind people to be wary of various hazards in and out of the water. Myrtle Beach State Park Ranger Anne Wilson said recent storms have caused all sorts of sea life to wash up. Numerous Portuguese Man o’ War and blue buttons have been spotted along Grand Strand beaches. Alive or dead, Man o’ War can still emit powerful stings. Whether you know what it is or not, beach-goers are advised not to touch any jellies they see.
