A multi-state manhunt is currently underway for a University of Connecticut man who is wanted for multiple assaults and murders. On Friday morning, 23-year-old Peter Manfredonia of Newtown was seen leaving the the scene of a homicide and “serious assault” that occurred in Willington. One man was injured and a marine veteran, 62-year-old Theodore Demer, was killed. On Saturday, a home invasion occurred in the same town. Shotguns, a handgun, and a truck were stolen. Fortunately, the homeowner was not injured. Sunday morning, the truck was found crashed and abandoned in Derby. While there, the suspect allegedly stabbed and killed an acquaintance in his apartment. Manfredonia then abducted another resident and fled in a second stolen vehicle. The kidnapped victim was found on Sunday, unharmed, in New Jersey. The Manferdonia family’s lawyer has given an official statement for them pleading with him to surrender.
