Possible Fourth Coronavirus Relief Package by Democrats Met With Resistance
Democrats plan to unveil a fourth coronavirus relief package that could rival the previous three in cost. The aim of this new bill would offer more financial assistance to the following places: unemployment insurance, mail-in voting, bailouts for local states and cities, distressed businesses, student loans, and aid for rent and mortgage payments. It would also offer more direct relief for Americans. It is expected to equal or surpass the two trillion dollar package passed back in March. However, as democrats work on this bill, they are met with resistance by the Trump Administration and the GOP. They’ve already passed the largest rescue package in american history and want to avoid going into anymore debt. Plus, there are still some issues with the bill. This includes one measure, such as lost wages for workers, not being included which is something many progressives have been demanding.
