Horry County Actively Working to Keep Homeless Population Safe

Horry County leaders are looking for ways to keep our homeless population safe during these times. It’s believed education will be a major key to keeping this extremely susceptible population safe. They say educating the homeless on topics such as social distancing and proper hygiene will help slow the spread in the community. Providing them with personal protective equipment as well as sanitary products has also become a heavy priority. Finally, county leaders are working close with state agencies in order to provide better housing options for them.
