Old Receipt Found During Renovations
If only paper could talk! Owners of a restaurant in Kent England found an item with a interesting past during recent renovations. A receipt from the business that occupied the space over 100 years earlier. That invoice was from a department store called Lewis, Hyland & Linom and was discovered beneath the floorboards of the Market Square Restaurant. It dates back to January 31st 1914. They’re planning on displaying it inside of the restaurant to honor the buildings history.
