Dorothy Jean Wise Britt, 77, widow of Henry Arthur Britt, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Born in Latta, SC, on January 27, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Stonewall David Wise and Lucille Weatherford Wise. Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Britt Hardee and husband Barry of Florence, S.C.; and sons H. David Britt and wife Susan of Spartanburg, SC, James (Jimi) Walker Britt and wife April of Murrell‘s Inlet, S.C. Grandchildren; Betsy Britt of Columbia, SC, McCall Britt of Charleston, SC, Walker Britt and wife Callie-Jane of Columbia, SC, and Ashley Britt of Murrell‘s Inlet, SC. Her sisters; Carol Wise Bridgers of Florence, SC, Pat Wise Carter and husband Ray of Ridgeway, SC, and Molly Wise Tanner and husband Johnny of Myrtle Beach, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Bethesda Methodist Church in Oak Grove, S.C. on Friday July 8, 2011, at 11:00 AM. The family would like to thank the staff of the Commander Nursing Home for all their loving care throughout the years.
