Lobdell, Beverly

Beverly Jane Lobdell age 79 of Carthage, NC; passed Saturday June 25, 2011 at her home. Ms. Lobdell was born July 17, 1931 in Virgil, NY; to the late Walter Martin Muckey and Edna Louise Murphy Muckey. Family will receive friends at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines from 5 to 6PM with a memorial service starting at 6PM on Wednesday June 29th 2011 with the Reverend Monsignor Jeffrey A. Ingham officiating. In 2000 Ms. Lobdell retired after twelve years of service from Wal-Mart in Aberdeen as the Layaway Manager. She was later employed in a clerical position at the Town Center Pharmacy until her illness made it impossible for her to continue. Ms. Lobdell is survived by two sons, James E. Young and wife Linda of Owego, NY; and Harold N. Lobdell and wife Carolyn of Aberdeen, NC; two daughters, Norma Jean Steadman and husband Daniel of West End, NC; and Tamara Louise Doughten and husband David of Carthage, NC; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grand children. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen L. Young and all of her siblings. Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines is serving the family.
