Keith, Inez Ard

COWARD: Mrs. Inez Ard Keith, 87, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Albany, Georgia, after an illness. Mrs. Keith was born on February 22, 1924, in Florence County, a daughter of the late James A. Ard and Ina Cameron Ard. She was a member of Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Keith was an Army nurse served during World War II. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who served her family, her friend and her community all of her life. Surviving are her son, Raymond G. “Ray” Keith of Coward; granddaughter, Dr. Jessica K. Jones and her husband, Wyatt of Shellman, GA; grandsons, Gabriel Keith of Coward and Jacob Keith of Vidalia, GA; great-grandchildren, Savanna Jones, Anna Jones, Dacus Jones and Plair Jones, all of Shellman, GA, and Ethan Keith of Vidalia, GA; and her niece, Patricia “Patty” Ammons, of Kissimmee, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her five sisters, Bessie Powell, Ethel Tilton, Rosa Mae Floyd, Cleo Ard and Sara Corvin. Memorials may be made to Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church, 1410 E. Myrtle Beach Highway, Coward, SC 29530. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 13, 2011, at Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12th, at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Highway 378 ByPass, Scranton, SC.
