LAKE CITY: Mr. Peter L. Stutz, 63, passed away peacefully Monday, March 21st, 2011 in Carolinas Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Stutz was born in New Rochelle, New York, on April 28th, 1947. He was a son of the late Stanley J. Stutz and the late Elinor Landgraf Stutz, and was the husband of Susan Turner Stutz. Mr. Stutz was a member of Stone‘s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a Sunday School Superintendent for over ten years. He worked as a courier for Lab Corps of Florence. Mr. Stutz was a loving and dedicated husband, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. Mr. Stutz surviving family includes his wife of thirty-two years, Susan J. Stutz, of the home; his sister, Jessica Stutz Stone (Greg), of West Des Moines, Iowa; his brother, Dr. Stanley “Jack” Stutz (Karen), of Seekonk, Massachusetts; his uncle, Charles Landgraf of Bristol, Road Island; his father-in-law, Willie Turner, of Lake City; his two sisters-in-law, Carol Domnisch (Herman), of Pamplico, and Kathy Griffin (Mark), of Summerville; eight nieces and nephews, and eleven great nieces and nephews. The family of Mr. Stutz will have visitation from six until eight o‘clock p.m., Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011 in Stone‘s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church; and at other times at 817 Williams Street in Lake City. Funeral services for Mr. Stutz will be held at four o‘clock p.m., Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011 in Stone‘s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
