Plus, advice for Halloween Safety during Fire Safety Month.

Captain Jonathan Evans and Jim Alercia of the Myrtle Beach Fire Department were in the studio with safety tips ahead of Halloween.

October is also Fire Safety Month. It’s a great reminder to check your smoke alarms, make sure all of your electronics are properly plugged in, and be careful when charging your Lithium Ion batteries. If you need any help or advice, reach out to the Myrtle Beach Fire Department.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department will be celebrating their 90th birthday at The Hangout on October 26th, 2026 from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Featuring cornhole, trick-or-treating, vendors and more! The Hangout will also be donating 10% of all food and drinks sold during the event to MB Fire Cares, which will be used to help our community.
