Trump To Decide If Fort Hood Attacker’s Execution Livestreamed Or Not

President Trump has not yet made a decision regarding the execution of the Fort Hood attacker.
In 2009, former Army Maj. Nidal Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 20 others when he opened fire at the Texas base. He was sentenced to death in 2013 and earlier this year it was decided that he will be executed by firing squad in December.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently said that the execution would be livestreamed, raising concerns that Hasan could be viewed as a martyr by others seeking to commit mass violence. The idea to make the execution publicly available to watch has sparked controversy.
Vice President JD Vance said he is not sure that the federal government would do that, adding if it did, he would not watch. President Trump said he’s unsure if he’ll sign off on it or not. He said “by showing it, maybe other people won’t be doing what he did.” But he has not made an official decision.
