Autopsy Found No Injuries Contributed To Death Of 33-Year-Old
Circumstances surrounding her death raised concerns as Jordan was found with suspicious marks on her body.
An autopsy was conducted following the discovery of a deceased woman near the Pawleys Island Pier.
On Wednesday, beachgoers found the body of 33-year-old Meggan Jordan, of Conway, in the surf near the pier.
The Pawleys Island Police Department handed the investigation over to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. The county coroner’s office identified her and the autopsy was completed at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Circumstances surrounding her death raised concerns as Jordan was found with suspicious marks on her body. However, the autopsy did not reveal any injuries that would have caused or contributed to her death. The cause and manner of Jordan’s death remains pending until further testing is done.
